WE HAVE A NEW BROTHER!
Welcome back to our home in sunny Florida! Banjo and I continue to be surprised by all the wonderful things that happen in our new home. Lately we have been welcoming, celebrating, loving and enjoying an extraordinarily wonderful gift.
WE HAVE A NEW BROTHER!
His name is Sir Charles von Mistletoe, and he is as charming as his fancy name. Once we got to know him we all now call him Charlie. We think it is a better fit for his energetic, warm and wonderful personality.
Sir Charles (AKA Charlie) relaxing in his new home.
Charlie’s journey was not exactly the easiest. When he was very little he had an accident and one of his legs was broken. Charlie had surgery and thankfully one of the humans in the pet store that he lived in took very good care of him. As Charlie got better, he hoped that he would soon be adopted by a wonderful family. But month by month went by and no one picked Charlie for their home. This made Charlie sad but he never lost hope and never gave up his search for his new family.
Poor little Charlie waiting for his furever family.
Then one day PuppyDad got an excited call from PuppyMom. While she was shopping for things for Banjo and me, she saw Charlie. He was living in a pet store and was looking for a family to live with. Once PuppyMom picked him up she knew that he would be the perfect brother for Banjo and me. And he is a perfect fit for Banjo and me. We are all Pomeranians, we are all tan, we all love to race, and we all love each other. Our only big difference is that Charlie is a miniature, so we are twice as big as Charlie.

Banjo and I thought that we would have to be very careful playing with Charlie because we are so much bigger. Boy was THAT mistaken. First, when we run races, Charlie is always the fastest. And he can run longer than we can. When we accidentally collide while racing Charlie is always the first one back on his feet. Charlie always wins our races. PuppyDad says that he runs like a five pound linebacker.
Whatever that means.
Having three of us also means more wrestling. Because Banjo and I are bigger, Charlie helps even things out. He jumps in and helps whoever is losing. This is Charlie’s favorite game.

Banjo is a fantastic Big Brother. He has been keeping an eye on Charlie, teaching him how to play games and running races with him. I have been teaching Charlie how to squeak our squeaky toys musically. I squeak a rhythm and Charlie joins in. (my favorite kind of squeaky is:Pet Supplies : SCHITEC Squeaky Dog Toys, [6 Pack] Puppy Toy Soft Bouncing Egg Balls with Squeaker, Interactive Latex Rubber Pet Ball for Puppies Small Breed : Amazon.com
We make quite a noise. PuppyDad says that we make unique and distinct music.
I think that’s good.

As small dogs that have suddenly become the big dogs in our house we are happy to take on new responsibilities. We watch out for Charlie and makes sure that he is safe. With a very tiny dog we watch to make sure Charlie doesn’t fall into the pool (although he is a great swimmer we still keep an eye on him and a life jacket: Amazon.com : VIVAGLORY Ripstop Dog Life Jacket for Small Medium Large Dogs Boating, Dog Swimming Vest with Enhanced Buoyancy & Visibility, XXS, Bright Yellow : Pet Supplies

We also keep an eye on the big scary birds. PuppyDad said that we helped scare away a black hawk that was swooping down towards Charlie outside in the play area. We also keep an eye on strangers that come to the door until PuppyDad or Puppy Mom can answer it. We take our watch dog responsibilities seriously.
