Adventures with Banjo and Becca: A Florida Pup's Tale of Love, Fun, and Surprises!
Adventures with Banjo and Becca: A Florida Pup's Tale of Love, Fun, and Surprises!

Banjo and I would like to welcome you back to our home in Florida! It has been a wonderful time full of new experiences and special events that we want to share with you!

It seems like every month there is a special event in our house. We had Christmas in December, New Years in January, and Valentine’s Day in February.

We learned that Valentine’s Day was the holiday for people in love. PuppyDad gave PuppyMom beautiful flowers and PuppyMom gave PuppyDad lots of chocolate candies. They were both very happy with their gifts. Banjo and I gave each other kisses to celebrate.

Banjo and I continue to learn fun new games. We are both very athletic and enjoy running, jumping, and, of course, wrestling. So, most of our games involve running, jumping, and wrestling. Lately we have been racing and have added an obstacle course to our running. PuppyDad says it looks sort of like a miniature form of puppy steeplechase – whatever that is. We run and jump over our beds and sprint under the table and then run outside and run around the patio furniture until we are tired of running.  Then we usually wrestle. We also still love our leash walks as we practice our commands and see new things away from our house.

As we get older we learn to help PuppyMom and PuppyDad with more things. One of our favorite things is to help them make dinner. Our job is to keep them company while they are preparing dinner.

We especially like to help PuppyDad. He says that we are good supervisors. He makes the dinner salads, and we listen to him talk as he works. And he is not quite as tidy as PuppyMom, so we occasionally snag an extra piece of lettuce or two. And we always get a small cabbage or lettuce treat as a thank you for helping him make the salads.

We also learned that Banjo loves flowers. PuppyMom grows orchids and Banjo helps her check the flowers to see if they have enough water. He loves to sniff them as he and PuppyMom water the orchids. I think they are lovely as well. The purple flowers are my favorites.

We also got a special surprise for our special friend Enzo – he got a new rope collar to match his new rope leash

He was very excited to show off his gifts and sent us a picture!  Everyone says that Enzo looks so handsome when he is wearing his new collar and leash. We think that means that he looks better than “a million bucks!”

You know we love our car rides in our old Lincoln. But this isn’t our only fun vehicle. We also enjoy putting our safety seats in our side-by-side four-wheeler. PuppyDad then takes us on rides around our house and on the field next to the house. We enjoy being “country dogs” and love our open air rides to see our friends in the neighborhood.

Finally, we spent our first week away from PuppyMom and PuppyDad. We were very nervous being away from PuppyMom and PuppyDad, but they spent a lot of time finding the perfect home away from home for us. They made it as easy as possible for us and for our friend that took care of us. We arrived with our beds, favorite blankets, favorite toys, and enough food for the stay. We had a wonderful time but were happy to get home.

Thank you for joining us on our journey. We have learned so much and had so much fun that we’ll be back to share more of our story soon.

Until then, we wish you health, happiness, and joy from Becca Becharming and Banjomin Franklin, Two Small, Small Town Pom Puppies.
